About Alan Murrary MBE
The tour is led by Alan Murray MBE, a Deaf BSL user. Alan is a trainer and consultant with a deep, lifelong interest in arts, culture, history and heritage. This interest, coupled with his strong belief that the arts should be accessible for all, is what fuels Alan’s passion for delivering culturally rich guided tours and talks in BSL; breaking down barriers and opening up the arts to the Deaf BSL-using community across London.
About the tour
The Hunterian Museum includes the display of over 2,000 anatomical preparations made by the 18th century surgeon anatomist John Hunter, from whom the museum takes its name. The specimens are displayed alongside instruments, equipment, models, paintings and archive material, which trace the history of surgery from ancient times to the latest robot-assisted operations. The Museum includes England’s largest public display of human anatomy.
Spaces are limited so please book a ticket using the link above. You do not need to book a museum entry ticket as well, as a ticket for the tour will get you access to the museum.
Please meet at the Hunter statue by the staircase in the atrium at the start of your tour.
