Student learning to suture

Summer and International Schools

The Hunterian Museum offers a Surgical Discovery Workshop to Summer and International Schools during the Summer holidays (July and August).

The Surgical Discovery Workshop is perfect for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in medicine or looking to enhance their surgical knowledge. Students will have a chance to visit the Hunterian Museum to learn about the history of surgery and how it has changed over time. They will also take part in a practical workshop where surgeons will teach basic suturing skills and surgical knot-tying. The session will give the students an opportunity to speak to surgeons and find out more about medicine and surgery as a career.
